Koleseine

Born in Cambodia, raised in France, moved to Canada in 2002 my journey as a self-taught oil painter is deeply rooted in diverse experiences I 've gathered along the way. I found a sense of joy in mixing oil paint, creating vibrant colors. I realized that life challenges could be painted into happy colorful moments.
I like to approach multiple techniques and mixed media to create another dimensional conversation other than words.
Although ambiguity and color seduction predominate my creative work, each painting is a journey itself as I never know what color or what space of the canvas I will fill with, letting the creativity of the moment guide me.
Being a mother of 3 daughters, it was important for me to encourage and celebrate "Women", to paint the diverse places where I lived, moments where I struggled and translated them to a conversation with the viewer, open for its own interpretation.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Each painting is a conversation with the viewer, some are simple and some are deeper conversations. Do you see what is hidden? It is my invitation to discover our connection.
