Kristie Holden
Kristie Holden is a Toronto-based artist creating surreal, textured landscapes inspired by the beach. She uses acrylic paint, modeling paste, thickening agents, and recently, fabric, to build layered pieces that invite touch as much as reflection.
Before becoming a full-time artist, Kristie worked in fashion and marketing. Over time, she turned to painting as a way to reconnect with the sense of calm and clarity she’s always found by the ocean. Her work is rooted in that feeling—of being at peace, grounded, and lighter—and she paints to bring that experience into people’s homes.
Kristie is an internationally collected artist, with collectors in Canada, the U.S., New Zealand, Germany, and South Africa—including clients who also own original Picassos.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Art is meant to make you feel something. I want people to feel calm and relaxed when they look at my art. That's why I paint the beach.
