ARTIST’S STATEMENT
As an interdisciplinary artist, my practice is rooted in drawing and painting, yet it extends to include block printing, collage, assemblage, embroidery, tapestry, and slashing (a fiber art technique). I often draw inspiration from discarded and overlooked materials—magazines, textiles, threads, newspapers, dried flowers, and leaves—each carrying its own unique history. Through my work, I explore the dynamic tension between the mundane and the extraordinary, inviting new meanings and narratives to emerge from the fragments I collect, paint, and, at times, embroider.
My creative process is ever-evolving, driven by a desire to reimagine, reconfigure, and recontextualize. Each medium I engage with informs and enriches the others, expanding both my visual vocabulary and the conceptual depth of my work. It is in the interplay of materials, ideas, and forms that I uncover new possibilities—where fragments come together to create something whole, yet always in a state of transformative flux.
