My journey as an artist began early in high school when I started copying album covers onto jackets for fellow students. After studying at Pratt Institute I began a successful career as a graphic designer, art director, and sole proprietor of Curious Mind Graphics, specializing in the design of corporate communications and marketing collateral for the architectural, engineering and construction industries for 40 years.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Working with oil sticks has led me on a new path of discovery that incorporates the nuances of this medium with composition drawn from various sources including landscape photography, abstract and compositional sketches, as well as free form application directly onto the surface. Doors are constantly opening as each piece develops; lines, colors and textures dictate new directions opening additional doors and setting in motion additional series of work.
