Linda Bickerton-Ross

Linda Bickerton-Ross is a Canadian Fine Art photographer based in White Rock, BC. She holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Toronto and Western Washington University, an MA from Simon Fraser University and an Honorary Doctorate (2015) from Kwantlen Technical University. Her formal photography studies include a Certificate in Photography from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, coursework at Focal Point in Vancouver, BC and ongoing Santa Fe Workshops. Her careers include early work as a musician, later as both teacher and administrator in the public school system and her current dedication to the study and art of photography.

Since 2022, juried and invitational exhibitions of Linda’s work include Art Vancouver 2022, ArtRich 2025 (Richmond Art Gallery) and Arts 2023 (Surrey Art Gallery), the Landmark PopUptown Gallery, the Nomad Gallery in White Rock, BC and Gallery 881 in Vancouver (2026). In December 2024, she was invited to participate in the Richmond Art Gallery’s Annual Fundraising Exhibition, Amuse Bouche. In 2023 Bickerton-Ross received the First Place Photography Prize at Arts 2023, Surrey Art Gallery. In 2022, she won a Jurors’ Prize Honorable Mention at the Surrey Art Gallery for a still photograph from her Birthing of a High-Rise video project, a Digital Doorways Initiative. Other collaborative work includes a two-year Photo/Interview project with Melanie Watts, Artists Among Us, published monthly in Spotlight Magazine. In the spring of 2026, her work was published in the Memory Edition and also the Chaos vs Order digital edition of PhotoEd Magazine.

As a young musician, Bickerton-Ross founded, along with four others, the Langley Community Music School, now an established school for classical music studies, receiving an Honorary Doctorate for this accomplishment in 2015. In 2023, Linda founded the Praxis Photography Collective, consisting of five diverse photographers. Since its founding, the Collective has exhibited in five successful gallery shows, culminating in its April 2026 exhibition, Praxis at the Nomad at the Nomad Gallery in White Rock, British Columbia.
