I am an artist and educator with over 20 years experience. I live in Edina, Minnesota and I am currently on staff at the Edina Art Center where I teach abstract painting classes. My work is in various private collections and I exhibit regularly in group shows.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I create large abstract paintings that explore balance, pause, and subtle movement. Through layered surfaces, mark making and restrained color, I’m interested in how small shifts and spaces between forms can evoke calm, rhythm, and/or quiet tension. My process allows elements to come together through intuition rather than planning, allowing the painting to evolve through layers, erasing, and reworking. I also enjoy creating smaller colorful works in a series or as stand alone.
