What started as a hobby, is now a regular passion during retirement. I enjoy both landscape and portrait painting in both oil and acrylic. I love colour and use it to bring energy and expressiveness in a somewhat Fauvist style. I love the work of Van Gogh, who influenced my work a lot and I developed my style through trying to recreate many of his famous works. I would say that my work is colour-driven contemporary expresssionism with a Fauvist influence.
