Mark Sifferlin is a contemporary landscape painter based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Working primarily in oils, he draws inspiration form imagery gathered during global travels. His work reflects a love of both graphic composition and impressionistic design blending structured forms with expressive, textural brushwork. Layered color and atmospheric depth are central elements of his painting style.

Raised in rural Ohio, Mark developed an early passion for art. From grade school onward, he was encouraged by teachers who recognized his creative potential and supported his pursuit of an artistic career. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Art in Advertising and Illustration from the Columbus College of Art and Design.

After graduation, Mark began his professional career at Hallmark Cards as an artist, later transitioning into product development and licensing. He continued his work in the corporate creative sector at Party City, where he oversaw new product initiatives. Over a 42-year career, he remained deeply connected to the creative and design process. In 2023, Mark retired from corporate work and returned to his original passion - painting.

Mark's work is deeply inspired by nature and his experiences travelling the world. Outside of the studio, he enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors, gardening, hiking and biking.
