Michelle is an artist in Brooklyn, New York who specializes in oil painting. Originally from Houston, she graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Art History and Economics. She has been painting for over 20 years.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My paintings are hallmarks of my feelings and experiences. They allow me to process what I care and think about. Through painting I explore memory, larger than life feelings, and daily life. I consider myself a very formal and curious painter, drawn to expressive landscapes, abstracts, and figurative work. To me, painting feels like the most effective way to fully see and create myself, and in doing so, connect with my world and other people.
