Minami Morris
Hello! My name is Minami. I am half Japanese and half Caucasian. I was born in Japan and had the privilege of living in four different countries before settling in Toronto. I have been exposed to various cultures, which have significantly influenced my experiences today.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I began exploring painting during the pandemic—a passion that came to my attention while in solitude. The central theme of most of my work is capturing the intimacy of the eyes. My creations reflect the cycle of death and rebirth, symbolizing the constant state of change.
