Mitch Harrison

Mitch Harrison began his career shooting tabletop products and corporate portraitures, then changed directions and became thoroughly entrenched in feature films, documentaries and TV commercial production before returning to his passion for photography.
His work has been featured in galleries and art festivals in Toronto and has been published in the British magazine, Practical Photography.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

For me, capturing an image through a camera lens sets in motion a visual evolution on a digital canvas. Within this new platform, the raw image can be transformed from the predictable into something unique.

To create a deeper and more powerful visual impression to the raw image, I digitally generate layered textures, modified light and shadow values, and new colour palettes.

I’m asking people to discover a new visual experience and look through my lens to see how I interpret the world.
