Mitchel Rubin

I have been showing and selling my artwork for many years. All of my creations are one of a kind designs. I’ve displayed my work at art festivals, galleries and art museums throughout the world.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I paint on canvas, silk and leather. My medium is acrylic paint. I paint with various tools including brushes, sticks, feathers, sponges and use painter pens. My work explores the colors and shapes that we see around us. The colors I use are vibrant and the designs are many faceted in that they stimulate the mind and eye in a way that creates wonderful visual encounters that engage viewers in a fun and energetic way. The Circle Variation designs are part of an ongoing series in which I am showing and giving tribute to the circle. It is a form that is ubiquitous in the world of nature and the family of man and woman and in the world of their creations. The circle designs in their abstract matrix are similar to the variations of a theme in Jazz. I play with the interrelationships of form, line, color, space and texture as I also do when I play music. I’m never sure what will happen after I start. Life is filled with surprises and so are my creations. My art is exploration. Art is digging deep inside (consciously or not) to bring forth its wonderment for self exploration and also for others to feel and see something new and stimulating. I am a fine artist who for many years put my abilities i to fine craft and fine photography.
For me art is a calling. I’ve lived in the world of art since I was a child. I’m fortunate to be able to communicate with so many people. Many people over the years have seen, purchased and lived with my artwork. I’m truly thankful for the opportunity to communicate my concepts of beauty and design for the enjoyment of of so many.
