Naomi Christianskn

Naomi Christianson is an established artist in the Washington DC metro area. 14 years ago she was working on an international assignment as an operations executive in Australia while diligently practicing less populist limbs of yoga. After a dramatic year of change, she found herself as a self-employed fulltime artist. Inspired to quit her job of 18 years and move back to the states, she started working with organizations serving the homeless, adopted a sustainable lifestyle practicing Samadhi, started an affordable community art space and began her journey as a multidisciplinary creator. Her art focuses on expressing her dreaming experience and animistic practices she has been actively engaged in since the age of 4. Naomi uses a variety of recycled materials and techniques creating sculptural paintings and has exhibited in 40 plus exhibitions across the US, Prague, London and Iran. She has been an associate with the Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria for 10 years. She now creates in a private art studio in a Maryland National Park and collaborates with an all female artist collective she founded.
