Natalie Ditchburn
Natalie was born and spent her childhood in Montreal, Quebec.
From as far as she can remember, art has always been a happy and important part of her life.
She moved to Toronto to pursue a career in the credit and insurance industries and then turned her pursuit to the best and most important career - Artist.
Learning art practices from others and various instructional classes, she developed her unique style- experimenting with various mediums and, even at times, mixing them together!
Some of her experimentation includes printmaking techniques, acrylics and oils. She is not afraid to try whatever anyone suggests.
Today her subjects are found in-and-around Toronto, usually inspired by the city's architecture and nature. She loves to create works with visual interest through many different techniques in an abstracted way, while pushing herself to try new mediums and create larger works.
Currently a member of the Don Valley Art Club, Natalie also attends various art studio drop-ins and plein air painting. She enjoys meeting the people in these groups and in the Toronto art world who all share their knowledge openly.
Serigraph Awards include: Honourable mention - Grey Cube Gallery and Artistic Excellence - Art Room Gallery.
Her work work has been exhibited at Cedar Ridge, Forest Hill Studio, Riverdale Hub, Women's Art Association of Canada, Toronto Public Library.
She is most happy when people look at her art and see they can’t help but smile.
Take a moment, take a look, and if a smile comes, she has succeeded.
