Pamela Moineau
Southeast Asia 25 years ago inspired my first collection. the smell of wood there. The foods culture hotels people land inspired my first minimalist collection. Lots of neutrals and use of red though not at same time. I’ve returned over and again as it never fails to inspire. I feel I missed out on most my childhood and reference that most often as recurring theme in my work. I like to say “Nothing can suck the silly out of me” I collect
antique toys, Scandinavian wooden sculptors of monkeys objects. Artifacts can’t get enough of their inherent art. I have more wooden sculptural bowls than necessary. I love childhood scribbles and doodles, poorly formed drawn animals in the way that only the wonder and magic of childhood brings forth to a child’s creation. I will eventually do a collection in crayon. I love oysters and candy. Creating is my passion; I’m privileged that I’ve never done so for the financial reward but for the delight of art lovers.
