ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I work with ceramics, textiles, and digital media to explore intersections like identity, feminism, and cultural alienation. By deconstructing and distorting motifs of the human body and cultural symbols, I delve into conceptual portals that bridge the unseen forces shaping both our internal and external realities—emotions, memories, and cultural histories. Growing up in China and later moving to New York, I encountered the complexities of integrating two distinct cultures, which led to deep reflections on identity, displacement, and belonging. This journey informs my practice, where I reconstruct power dynamics to confront interwoven themes of resilience and transformation.
