I am Priya Malhotra, and art is my life. Growing up, I loved creating art in my spare time. However, I was never encouraged to continue exploring my artistic side. I worked in the travel industry for many years. I got married, moved away from home and welcomed our children. I became a full-time mom during the formative years of my children’s lives. As I got ready to enter the work force, I could no longer ignore my artistic leanings and saw this as an opportunity waiting to be explored. This is what led to the creation of Your Art City. At that time I did not have any expectations. As time went on, my art got more and more recognized and I evolved myself to what my brand is today. I then came to the realization that I want my art to represent me – as an artist! This was the genesis of Priya Malhotra Art.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I am a contemporary mixed media artist creating luxury art. I use resin along with a mix of luxurious texture points like crystals, semi precious stones, gems etc to create high end wall art and functional art pieces. I create a wide range of items like tables, trays, initial letters to cheese boards and coasters.
My brain constantly works on creative mode…..either creating art or thinking about the steps of the next project or how to present my art in a creative way! I am never bored (well, except if I am sitting in a math class). I lose track of time when I step in my studio. I wish to be able to do this for the rest of my life.

I use a mix of texture points like crushed glass, acrylic gems, quartz points, resin crystal clusters, glitter etc which makes the artwork very luxurious. There is a lot of depth and interesting effects in this piece that is hard to capture through camera lens.

Original - One Of A Kind 3D Black & Gold Buddha painting with gold leaf and semi precious stones that are believed to bring positive energy to the space. I conceived this piece while I was driving one day. I was so excited that I had pull over in a plaza and draw out the idea on my phone and then it kept in up for many nights developing the idea in my head before I finally started working on it.

This is a Geode inspired resin artwork that can be placed on small wall space / bookshelf / mantle / shelves etc. This resin painting is sure to bring elegance to any room. I have used blue, gold and white colors with resin for this gorgeous and unique art piece. I have also used fire glass to enhance the beauty of this painting. It is on a 8x10 inch wooden board that has been primed with 2 layers of gesso, 2 layers of pigmented resin and final clear coat layer. The photo does not capture the brilliant shine and reflective properties of the high shine resin.

This is a One of A Kind 3D geode inspired artwork. I hand cut the free form shape and used pearl white and silver colors, lots of fire glass, holographic glitter and natural edges to give it a very classy look. I poured multiple layers of resin to give it glass like glossy finish. This piece is surely going to elevate any wall it is hung on.
