ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I am a Toronto based multidisciplinary artist working in painting, sculpture, installation and ephemeral art. Our world is rapidly changing. My work addresses personal, social, and environment issues associated with this change.
My paintings combine reality and imagination, focusing on people and behaviour. Inspiration emerges in my artistic creation through moments of connection and love. My practice uses studio models for figurative and semi-abstract paintings to examine human relationships and social interactions. My voice is expressed through vibrant colours, confident brushstrokes, and drawing.
Winner of multiple juried exhibition awards in Ontario.

Inspired by the concept of Connection and Disconnection, especially during the pandemic, I want to explore these emotional and physical states through the visual metaphor of open and closed looping circles on a noisy and quiet background. The pandemic highlighted our need to connect despite physical separation, while also emphasizing the importance of disconnecting for mental well-being. Open circles represent moments of connection—whether virtual or emotional—while closed loops signify the necessary retreat into solitude for reflection and healing. Through these visual elements, I aim to evoke the tension and harmony between being connected to others and finding peace in disconnection.
