Rodica Vinca is a Montreal-based painter-professional artist originally from Romania, known for her vibrant use of color and emotionally rich compositions. After exploring her passion through studies in Painting Techniques and Ceramics in Vancouver and Art History at the University of Montreal, she committed fully to her artistic journey.

With over two decades of experience, Rodica has become a recognized figure in Quebec’s contemporary art scene. She is a proud member of the Circle of Painters and Sculptors of Quebec and the Association of Multidisciplinary Artists of Laval.

Her distinctive style and technical skill have earned her numerous accolades, including the Gold Medal at the International Visual Arts Gala – Sound and Light in Montreal, and the Gold Medal with a Diploma of Honor from the Mikolowie Art Show in Poland.

Rodica’s work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions across Canada, France, and Poland, and is held in collections throughout Canada, Romania, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, and the United States.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My painting moves between abstraction and floral expression, combining oil, acrylic, and knife impasto to create vibrant, tactile textures. Blue, the dominant color in my work, reflects emotion, depth, and the inspiration I draw from everything around me. Each piece becomes a space of dialogue between intuition, material, and visual poetry, driven by my passion for color, harmony, and compositional balance.
