Sharina Fong explores the rich tapestry of Mexican art, infusing it with color, symbolism, and a unique perspective. She challenges the stereotypes associated with migration that can sometimes have negative connotations, and instead shows the positive, vibrant and inventive aspects of Mexican art and culture.
Sharina Fong presents works inspired by renowned artists such as Gustav Klimt, Vang Gogh, Frida Kahlo, but with a distinctive "A la Mexicana" touch. These reinterpretations incorporate Mexican symbolism, styles, and narratives, allowing viewers to see familiar works in a new, culturally rich light.
