Stuart Pascoe discovered his talent for art making and his love of seeing art in galleries and museums while growing up in Brantford, Ontario. He studied art at the University of Toronto and graduated from the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. After settling in Montreal, he completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Concordia University.

Over the years, Stuart has illustrated books, designed sets, painted murals for homes and businesses, drawn and painted with different media. His work is in many private collections.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Stuart Pascoe’s recent oil paintings are a lyrical and emotional response to his immediate surroundings, specifically Montréal and its people. Stuart also finds inspiration in art history, especially the late 19th and early 20th centuries, yet he remains sensitive of and connected to the world and the art of today.
