RURAL ROOTS - I’m a self-taught artist from Minnesota-you betcha!!

I'm a longstanding upcycled jewelry artist. In mid 2025 I created jewelry for an exhibition, but it felt incomplete. I had this desire to add artwork of factories where the components of my jewelry might come from. The soft pastels are of abandoned factory buildings, feed mills, garages and shipping yards. They have a story to tell in the layers of color and darkness. Both my jewelry and art have an edge to them, even an uncommon vibe.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My art is driven by being uncommon. I like to find new purpose in the old and discarded. Things hold history and secrets, a constant reminder that life is always changing.
