Terry Luc
I have been an artist all of my life. I live in Northbrook, IL, a town just north of Chicago. I am a father of six amazing and very creative kids - now all adults. My wife, Karie, is an award-winning photojournalist.
For me, art is rhythm, color, and beauty. It is never timid. It should grab you. Complimentary colors should vibrate. You should be drawn in by graceful lines and "s" curves. It should feel like almost a musical experience. I love painting in acrylics - the boldness of the colors and the speed with which an artist needs to get the colors mixed onto the canvas.
Also, I am a mural artist. With my son Gerry, we collaborate on large scale public works of art.
In addition to being an artist, I am bass player in the rocking band Counterpoint, and a guitar player in the trio The Luc project that features my singing daughters Annie and Marie. I am a cycling instructor, and a former football coach.
Casablanca is my favorite movie, The Rolling Stones is my favorite band, High West Double Rye and Casamigos are my preferred beverages, and The Master and Margarita is my favorite book.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you like what you see. And always remember to "Put a Little Art in Your Life, You'll Feel Better!"
