Tionna Cortez was born and raised in Washington, D.C., a city rich in culture, history, and artistic influence. Surrounded by museums, galleries, and public art, she developed an early appreciation for creativity. As a child, she showed a natural talent for drawing and painting, often using art as a way to express her thoughts and emotions.
Her early exposure to the arts—through school programs and local cultural institutions—helped shape her ambition to pursue art more seriously.
Education at Pratt Institute
Driven by her passion, Tionna went on to attend the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York—one of the nation’s leading art and design schools. At Pratt, she immersed herself in a rigorous creative environment, studying techniques in:
