ARTIST’S STATEMENT
William Wilson is a photographer from Toronto, Ontario, Canada who currently resides in Montreal, Quebec. Working in both analog and digital formats, he specializes in editorial documentary, music, and natural landscape photography. Focusing on the duality of sublime stillness and intense movement, his portfolio depicts the broadest range of the conventionally beautiful and the unconventionally absurd. With exhibits in Ontario and Quebec, work with Vice News, The Link Newspaper, and independent filmmakers, his creative work has been widely acclaimed and sold internationally.
His latest compositional project documenting his cycling trips around the island of Montreal called Encirclement seeks to promote cycling infrastructure in Canada and everywhere people live.
