Yana Rzayeva is an emerging artistic talent who currently calls Toronto her home. Born in Eastern Europe, she originally found her muse in watercolour at an early age. As she gradually began to devote more time to her art, she began to work with acrylics and oils and loves how they've moved her into new creative directions. Yana credits Toronto's diversity as a major inspiration for her work, and is currently pursuing her BFA at OCAD University.
I find nature and the colours within it fascinating, which is why I love landscapes. Art allows me to escape into a whole different world, and I find the process of playing with evocative colors very calming and therapeutic. I hope my work reflects that serenity.
