My artwork begins with a word or phrase that I use as the title, which I physically write on the canvas. I use my handwriting and the line’s edge as structure. The concept behind my associations with the given title is what’s most important as I choose the colour palette. My goal is to embrace the universal emotions that colours invoke and pair them with the word. Thus, communicating a common understanding of the connections between the given title and the visual elements within the artwork. My influences often revolve around current events and human nature.
