Alina Lloyd is a Canadian painter whose work explores the emotional resonance of landscapes and the quiet intelligence of the natural world. ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My paintings begin with a moment—light falling through trees, the hush of water, the feeling of shelter in an ordinary landscape. I work intuitively, layering colour and texture to capture not just what I see, but what the place evokes in me. Each piece is a conversation between memory and paint: a way of honouring nature’s resilience, stillness, and quiet capacity to hold us. Through these works, I hope to offer viewers a pause—an opening to breathe, to feel, and to return to their own inner landscape.
