Alysa-Beth Engel is a visual artist and writer. Currently an Artist Board Member of Open Studio Contemporary Artist Centre, she was previously the archivist and sales manager. Alysa is a member of Print London, and the Authors Guild, and was a contributing writer for D.A., published by the Porcupine’s Quill. She worked at Sotheby’s (London, UK), trekked solo in Nepal, and summited Mount Kilimanjaro. Alysa's art is in corporate, public, and private collections nationally and abroad.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

The Trail Map paintings offer viewers who love adventure a place to land. Drawing on my experiences trekking in Nepal, India, Peru, and Tanzania, this art is informed by slow travel, yoga and mindfulness. The Coffee Meditation paintings were created by focussing on acts of kindness, offering observers a supportive visual for renewal.
