Amy Huang

Amy Huang is a Toronto-based self-taught artist whose interdisciplinary practice is informed by her background in engineering and classics. Working across traditional and digital media—including oil, acrylic, gouache, and illustration—she investigates questions of identity, migration, memory, and belonging.
Drawing from her experiences as a first-generation immigrant and young Asian woman, Huang approaches art as a way of navigating multiple cultural and intellectual worlds. Her work reflects an ongoing dialogue between analytical and creative thinking, exploring how personal narratives intersect with broader historical, cultural, and social contexts. Through image-making, she seeks to create spaces for reflection on the complexities of heritage, place, and selfhood.
