ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My work is an ongoing reflection of a life shaped by two distinct landscapes. For over six decades, I have drawn from the sensory memories of Italy—its colors and impressions—and interwoven them with the atmospheric ocean light of my Canadian studio.
I am interested in the quiet nuances of the natural world: the movement of wind along the coast and the way light defines form and space. Rather than a simple documentation of nature, my paintings seek to capture its underlying spirit. Ultimately, these works are an invitation to move toward a more grounded, meaningful reality—one where the visual experience serves as a bridge to a deeper emotional journey.
