Anna Crow is a Vancouver-based multidisciplinary artist working primarily in painting and tattoo. Her surreal, nature-infused work explores the spaces between identity, memory, instinct, and transformation. A tattooist and artist for more than two decades, Crow explores dreamlike worlds where the familiar and impossible coexist. Her evolving body of work, Between Worlds, reflects her belief that art is good medicine—a way to reconnect with ourselves, remember what matters most and reimagine our future.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Anna’s work explores thresholds; the space between what we are and what we are becoming. Through surreal imagery, she examines identity, memory, instinct, and transformation, often bringing beauty and unease, fragility and resilience, chaos and calm into the same world.
Her current body of work, Between Worlds, draws from nature, dreams, mythology, and the subconscious. Porcelain figures fracture and grow gardens, roots reclaim structures, and recurring symbols mark thresholds between one state and another.
Anna is not interested in what is broken, but in what becomes possible through fracture.
At the heart of her practice is the belief that art is good medicine—not as an answer, but as a language for things that resist explanation. Her work creates space for ambiguity, imagination, and the possibility that more than one truth can exist at once.
