I am an interdisciplinary artist working in painting, printmaking, and mixed media.

Originally from Rostov-Veliky, Russia, I studied at the Kalinin Art Academy in Moscow before earning my BFA from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point.

Now based in Virginia, my work has been exhibited in solo and group shows across the U.S. and the U.K., and is included in national and international collections. In addition to my studio practice, I am an art instructor at US Arts in Vienna, VA, where I teach and mentor emerging artists.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My work is a vivid exploration of the inner lives of women — capturing quiet strength, shifting emotion, and the layered complexity of thought.

I’m drawn to moments of stillness and solitude — not as signs of withdrawal, but as powerful states of presence and reflection.

Whether portraying contemplative figures, dancers in motion, or bodies entwined with nature, my images hold space for both intimacy and resilience. In my jazz-inspired works, this exploration expands through rhythm, improvisation, and movement. Line and color respond to one another like musicians in conversation — fluid, intuitive, and alive in the moment. I’m drawn to jazz not only as sound, but as a visual language where spontaneity and structure coexist, allowing emotion to unfold in real time.

While beauty and balance remain essential, I intentionally engage with the emotional weight of the world. My work often pairs aesthetic calm with quiet tension — revealing grief, memory, strength, or defiance just beneath the surface.

Through painting, printmaking, mixed media, and collage, I layer form, texture, and color to reflect the evolving terrain of identity, emotion, and being.
