ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My artwork is not the direct representation of nature but rather my own artistic creative vision and experiments with light and shadow, different textures, and mediums. I enjoy painting landscapes, impressionistic vistas of the Mediterranean, fascinating places we traveled to in Italy, France, Spain, England, the beauty of Canadian nature. My art style I would describe as contemporary impressionism.
All of my paintings are created with permanent techniques and materials and will last for centuries under normal conditions. Just keep them away from the direct sunlight and high humidity or drastically fluctuating temperatures.

This gorgeous artwork was inspired by the sunny Camogli, Amalfi Coast in Italy. Bright crystal blue waters give great contrast to the buildings lit with the warm Italian sun. Shore rocks reflect light under the water looking like precious stones hidden under the clear water of the Tyrrhenian sea.

Canadian geese flying over the peaceful lake, in the midsummer evening. This realistic painting captured the meditative mood one has while seating in the lakeshore and watching the summer sunset. In this artwork, I used mixed media to add texture to the geese's wings and the little boat, at the same time super smooth background creates dramatic contrast and adds depth to this painting.
