ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Creating art offers me a way to connect not only with the natural beauty of the world around me but also to explore visuals and concepts that are meaningful to me on a personal growth level. My artwork has been a fulfilling way that I can focus my thoughts and energy on the things that bring me a feeling of calm.

My primary goal as a creator is to share a sense of beauty, optimism, inspiration, and compassion with collectors of my work. I believe that the art we hang on our walls is often not just for decoration, but a reflection of our inner selves and what we care about the most.

A trip to the Atlantic province of New Brunswick is not complete without a visit to the iconic rock formations called the Hopewell Rocks. Twice a day these flower pot-like sea stacks are covered at the base with water. During low tide in the Bay of Fundy the base of the tidal eroded rocks is then exposed allowing visitors to walk amongst them at ground level.

Moraine Lake is cradled in the heart of the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Although the location is stunning to visit in the summer months, Winter brings its own unique beauty to this popular Banff National Park location. This piece captures the experience of the warm glow of the sun bathing the mountains in light against the contrast of the white snow and crystalized turquoise lake.
