ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I’m a self-taught artist focused on creating textured abstract paintings that have a connection to current events and social justice themes. I primarily work with acrylics, watercolors, and oil pastels—media that allows me to create multi-layered, tactile pieces that provide viewers with a sensory experience.

I aspire for my work to spark thought-provoking conversations that transcend surface-level beauty. I’m drawn to the way abstract work invites personal interpretation, allowing each viewer to find something uniquely meaningful in each piece. I incorporate my own perspective and social commentary into my work through the names of my collections and paintings, associated themes, and other elements.

As an artist, I believe in using my practice to advance meaningful causes. I donate a portion of the proceeds from my sales to nonprofit organizations that promote social justice and humanitarian efforts. This enables my collectors to play an integral role in supporting nonprofit organizations providing vital services at home and abroad.
