Celeste Christie is a Canadian visual artist specializing in acrylic, oil, spray paint, and abstract photography. Drawing inspiration from her surroundings, she creates bold landscapes that merge rich color contrasts with geometric elements. Her work is a direct response to both the natural world and her personal experiences, seeking to establish harmony and balance between nature and abstraction.
Celeste works from her studio in Calgary, AB, and her pieces are collected all across Canada. Her work has been featured in restaurants, coffee shops, temporary exhibitions, real estate show homes, and private collections. Passionate about collaboration, she creates custom art projects and commissions, bringing unique visions to life through her distinctive artistic approach
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Canadian Artist Celeste Christie offers unique and distinctive perspectives on the environment. Her work balances nature and abstraction, using color and form to evoke a sense of connection and reflection.
With a background in Interior Design, Celeste integrates architectural elements into her art, exploring structure, balance, and spatial harmony alongside organic forms. Her understanding of design principles allows her to create works that resonate deeply within the spaces they inhabit. Inspired by the Canadian Rocky Mountains, and the Manitoba prairies and Lake of The Woods, her work explores the relationship between nature and design, creating pieces that uniquely connect with each viewer and add presence to walls and space.
Celeste’s work can be discovered through private commissions and temporary showings in coffee shops, restaurants, and show homes. Some of her favorite projects and exhibitions include the Elevation Gallery (Banff, AB), ArtSpot Market Mall (Calgary, AB), the Government of Canada, Calgary Tower, Chinook Mall (Calgary, AB), TD Insurance (Calgary, AB), Lazy Loaf & Kettle (Calgary, AB), Splitz Grill (Whistler, BC), Lizard Creek Lodge (Fernie, BC), and Maillot Homes, among others.
