ARTIST’S STATEMENT
As an oil painter, I seek to capture the beauty and significance of everyday moments. My inspiration lies in the quiet moments of life, those often overlooked or taken for granted, but that reveal the nature of our human experience.
The intention of my work is to preserve memories in a way that feels nostalgic and somewhat whimsical. I strive to elevate the forgotten moments in life, inviting reflection that resonates with viewers on a personal level, and encouraging them to find their own moments of beauty and quiet in the world around them.
My paintings are autobiographical and inspired by my own life, therefore I take my own reference photos from my everyday life. This allows me to capture a quick moment and bring it to life in the studio. Through this process, I seek to create intimate and personal paintings that not only captures the scene but creates a whole new experience for the viewer.
