A self-taught artist since childhood, Dea nurtured her passion for drawing and painting alongside a two-decade career as an elementary school teacher. In 2018, she embarked on a full-time pursuit of her artistic dreams that has led to several outdoor exhibitions and juried art shows. Notably, she clinched an Award of Excellence for her painting ‘One Step At A Time’, at the Oshawa Art Association’s 54th Annual Juried Art Show. As an artist deeply connected to nature, I find endless inspiration while hiking through forests and working in my garden. I immerse myself in the exploration of color, light and texture, continuously honing my craft through workshops and experimentation. Painting fills me with boundless joy and is a passion I pursue daily. My aim is to share this joy with viewers, inviting them into the enchanting world of my creations.
