Every time you change jobs, you feel like you're being born again. After I graduated from Moscow Textile University, I worked as a fashion designer, first in Russia and then in Latvia.

Taking the following education, I worked as an interior decorator in Canada for over 20 years.

A strong desire to paint pictures in the oil style led to my third rebirth, which was the best.

That burning desire to paint has become a constant need to create new portraits, figures, landscapes, and still-life paintings.
By far, my favourite genre of art is still life.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Painting is a pleasure and a way to express my inner world and emotions.
I am impressed by the possibilities of fine art in showing beauty to everybody who wants to see it.

As always, I used all my lovely set for creating paintings:
- special brushes;
- palette knives;
- oil paints;
- stretched canvas;
My neighbour has beautiful peonies in her garden.
And once, she presented me with a bunch of them.
Everybody knows that the life of natural flowers is concise.
First, I made a composition; second, I took a photo, and then my brush knew what to do.

The history of creating this dance wall art is undeniable and even simple.
The flamenco's motives were inspired by our visit to Spain a few years ago.
I always remember a concert at Seville Flamenco Academy.
This concert was fantastic and unforgettable. We were impressed and walked almost all night along Seville streets and cafes.

All my friends know how much I love flowers in any composition all year round. When I start doing the next bouquet painting,
I am creating a floral arrangement from flowers in my studio and taking a few photos.
And now everybody can see the result.

Time from when you return to your memory to those countries where you had unforgettable occasions. For example, I will never forget the old cafe in Seville, Spain,
where we met with live guitar music and hot flamenco dance. That evening was full of emotions and overflowing feelings.
Those meetings inspired painting in Seville.

This is original artwork. I made it with brushes, palette knives, and fingers. Ready to hang. Vertical. Unframed.

This painting is a new version of the famous "Girl on the Ball" by Pablo Picasso in 1905. There is a significant difference between now and then: a young acrobat girl balances on a ball while under the supervision of a powerful man, with a serene landscape in the background. Now, I see this lonely, fragile teenager struggling to balance the instability of our world. We all know about global warming: deadly fires in Australia, California, and Alberta, tsunamis, and hurricanes.
Can we do something to give our children a better world? That is why my painting, which is the first variation, is titled "All we are saying is give the world a chance" (after John Lennon's famous "...give peace a chance ").

Only when a new idea about your next painting comes to you, for example, you are merely taking a look from the winter window and suddenly start to feel the summer heat, and you want to sink into that warmness and be far away from your frozen window.
I made this painting in January.

We are dreaming about when everybody can meet old friends in any country where they live. When
we could start to travel everywhere.
Every one of us has a world of beauty inside and the ability to find beauty in the world outside.
This painting transmits hope for a better life because spring is when Mother Nature wakes up after a long, cold winter and gives us good wishes and dreams.

All my friends know how much I love flowers.
I love them in any season and decided to combine a coffee set and tulips.
That decision was not so extraordinary but fresh.
This still life is my next try to create the mood of the beginning new day and happiness.

When I decided to create this still life, I spent more than an hour on composition creation.
Then, it was attempted to start painting as Plein air, but daylight became the evening.
I knew it, so I took a few photos to catch the best light and continued to paint the next day.

We can find beauty in our homes, relationships, neighbourhoods, new ways of connecting, and Mother Nature outside our windows. All we need is to want to make it.
It is so great when we decamp to a peaceful state of mind with carelessness and breathe fresh air from
where the sun is lit, we get the feeling of freedom.
These thoughts inspired me to create that artwork.
It is excellent to collect outside beauty to make your inner world bigger.
