Eleni Tsatsanis

Eleni Tsatsanis was born and raised in Vaughan, Ontario. From an early age, she has been deeply drawn to art, using it as both a form of expression and a central influence in her life. She works primarily in acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media, creating paintings that explore landscapes, animals, florals, and abstract forms. Her practice moves between detailed realism and expressive abstraction, with a focus on movement, colour, and atmosphere. Each work is guided by the intention of transforming a blank surface into a vivid composition that brings energy and life into a space.
Eleni’s artistic foundation began at the Woodbridge Art School, where she enrolled at the age of six. There, she developed her technical skills while beginning to shape her personal artistic voice. She later expanded her practice through the Regional Arts Program at St. Elizabeth Catholic High School. Eleni eventually returned to the Woodbridge Art School as an instructor, where she currently still works as a part-time art teacher, further developing her practice as both an artist and educator.
Eleni is an alumni of OCAD University, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting with a minor in Social Sciences. As well, she holds a Bachelor of Education (Primary/Junior) from Lakehead University and currently works as an occasional elementary school teacher.
