ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Most of my artworks center around my life as someone who had gone through severe child abuse and neglect growing up on top of being a Vietnamese immigrant trying to navigate the new world around me. These pieces show snippets of how my life had been growing up with this unhealthy environment and how I survived living with nothing to really grasp onto. It shows my point of view of how it felt growing up with the amount of trauma that had been held within my younger and current self.
