Ellena Sardo
Ellena Sardo is in her third year of Drawing and Painting at the Ontario College of Art and Design University. She is a multidisciplinary artist, having knowledge in fine art mediums such as oil, acrylic and textile work as well as sculptural skills with materials such as brass, copper, and silver. She recently was a part of Embodied Narratives: Unveiling Stories Within Exhibition at OCAD University, the 2023 Canadian Student Silversmithing Exhibition, having work showcased in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Ontario and has work in numerous private collections. Ellena Sardo is part of the upcoming 128th annual juried exhibition – The Language of Colour showcased at the Art Gallery of Hamilton where she exhibits work influenced by the human figure, exploring old master techniques through a contemporary lens. Sardo is interested in creating contemporary, realist bodies of work through her paintings while experimenting with installation and fabrication with contemporary mediums. Sardo aspires to become a well-known independent artist as she continues to develop her creative practice of fine arts and fabrications through experimentation during her academic years.
