Emily Bruhm

I am an emerging artist working primarily in gouache and oil paint, exploring colour, texture, and atmosphere through a process rooted in both intuition and observation. Originally from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, I am currently based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, where my surroundings continue to influence and inform my work.
Art has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember, evolving from an early passion into a more focused practice during my high school years. I deepened my understanding of visual art through the International Baccalaureate (IB) Art program in grades 11 and 12, where I began to develop both my technical skills and conceptual approach.
I continued my studies at NSCAD University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, from 2020 to 2021, further expanding my artistic perspective and engaging with a wider creative community. My work reflects an ongoing exploration of form and feeling, shaped by both formal training and a lifelong dedication to making art.
