Oil on canvas.

36x48x1.50"

Traveling in South China, I ended up there in season pomelo harvest. They were everywhere ...it seemed the whole area turned into a pomelo market. I didn't see before how this fantastic fruit grows. They fascinated me with their appearance, long thin string, and great huge pearlike shape at the end. Already there I knew that when I returned, I would paint them. And It should be something very simple and at the same time inviting.
original oil painting.

Plastic tags, found crochet, acrylic on rag paper.

22x30"

When I came across an embroidered work that says “BREAD” how could I not develop a collage on the subject. The colourful little plastic bread tags seemed to multiply in my bread drawer, and therefore the development of an artwork appeared to be inevitable.

$150.00

Graphite and coloured pencil on archival artist's paper.

16x12x2"

Framed and matted, covered in ultrafine plexiglass.

During Covid, art galleries, art festivals, and my art studio were closed to the public. I took advantage of this time, using my skills to create clean, fresh artworks depicting beautiful, colourful, lush fruit and vegetables, figure studies, bird and animal drawings and paintings. I took these creative moments online and shared with people all across Canada 3 times a week, via Zoom workshops. We shared laughter and stories during the classes, while making art, bringing community and communication back into our lives during the pandemic. These pieces are the results. I hope you enjoy their simple, yet unique beauty.
