ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Tansi, I am Plains Cree from Maskwacis, Alberta. Ermineskin Cree Nation. I am a mother of three, and also a very proud kokum. I started a new journey. I started painting in February of 2019. My style of art is Dark, emotional, thought-provoking I would say modern expressionism. I've been inspired by many artists. I truly just painted as a hobby, it gives me a chance to let things out, my thoughts and my emotions. I feel that the more I paint, my true self is coming out, it's a release.
I'm very proud of what I've accomplished so far. I want to inspire everyone that it's never to late to do what you love, for yourself, for your children and grandchildren. I plan to show more art to the world, for it to be appreciated and celebrated.
