RESUME/STATEMENT
Well into a new stage of my life, emerging as an artist with a focus on
Photography, I am showing my work publicly in galleries and local and state fairs, winning awards and selling images along the way.
I earned a degree in Psychology, from California State University, Sacramento with postgraduate work in Graphic Design and Interior Design.
Recently retired from a rewarding creative career of 40 years in film
production, as a union makeup artist (SFX) and wardrobe stylist. In this capacity, I have worked on feature films, TV series, documentaries, print ads, commercials, and corporate films and numerous pioneering video games.
Examples of Movies are: Matrix, Most of Robin Williams' films, Kite Runner, Jurassic Park and documentaries including CA State Parks, National Parks, Railroad Museum, Origins; TV Shows:Nash Bridges, America’s Most Wanted.

I have recently completed a term on the Mill Valley Arts Commission and
have been a volunteer 5th and 6th grade math and reading tutor in Marin City
for 8 years.
I am the mother of two talented, smart and kind sons. Life partner of an
Architect who is a supportive best friend. Life has not always been easy, but it has turned out well. I will always have to be imagining and creating; it feels as necessary to me as breathing.
A lot of my work reflects a desire to spark imagination and foster interest in science, animals, and especially the new frontier, space. I also want to do whatever I can to promote the care and preservation of our planet earth. I have a great time challenging the digital possibilities of making my images a little di!erent. Perhaps the greatest benefit of my work is that it entertains
and keeps me out of trouble.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I guess the most important thing about my work is IMAGINATION.
In a lot of my photographs I imagine what this could be or what can I make out of this....Often it is connected with the Universe, which I find beautiful and fascinating so I imagine what it looks like based on space pictures from space cameras. I also love design and graphics so that factors in a lot of my images. Mostly I love taking pictures and making something else out of them. I have the most fun imagining and creating images with digital enhancements but never use Ai..never. Of course, I have straight out of the camera images which I love also. and...can you tell I am not a writer?
