ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My art began as abstract acrylic painting.
This technique was a main body of work for 20 years. The same technique was applied to large scale collage work. This included stainless steel and copper elements collaged onto acrylic canvas panels. This work was inspired by on site watercolours from various canoe and hiking trips, mostly across Canada. Currently my art is focused more a settings with found wood elements.
Interestingly, I just completed a large commission for a Toronto commercial space with my original abstract style.
