Joyce Ned
Joyce is a contemporary abstract artist based in Ottawa, Ontario. As a young immigrant from Bulgaria, she moved to Ottawa in 2004 where she pursued her Honours in Criminology at the University of Ottawa.
However ever since she was a child, Joyce has always had a very strong passion for creating. This passion for art helped her to find a variety of different outlets assisting her in pursuing and sustaining her creative call.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Joyce is mostly a self taught artist, who uses acrylic paint, pastels, markers and a variety of different tools, brushes and any other mixed media she discovers. Art is her absolute passion and need, as her curiosity and experimental artistic personality lead her through creating.
She has always had a very strong urge to express her thoughts, ideas, feelings, experiences and life while transforming them into reality through art. Joyce paints intuitively from the heart, while using expressive and vibrant colours to demonstrate her creativity.
