ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I love creating art, but my favourite thing to make is to make the viewer smile, laugh, or experience a sense of surprise. Whether it’s a film character playing a musical instrument, or The Rock coming for your cake pop, I love bringing something unexpected to every piece I create.

"Echeveria" is an original 10x10" acrylic painting on cradled wood panel. It features a still life echeveria succulent houseplant in a terra cotta pot on a soft white background.
The painting is varnished with a semi-gloss UV protectant coating to resist fading over time. The edges of the cradled wood board are painted white to match the background of the painting so it can be hung/displayed without a frame if the buyer chooses.
I am an enthusiastic plant parent, and I love painting my favourites from among my 90+ houseplants (each of whom are named; this echeveria is Marlin).
